Series Synopsis
"I feel like my brain's banging against the side of my skull in a desperate bid for freedom".
No phrase could sum up the world of Student Muffin better than the one Max utters on a dreary Sunday morning in one of the many pubs he has encountered on his travels. Set in the Ormskirkian landscape of empty streets and woeful locals, we find a house full of university students trying vainly to survive in a land they don't understand, and interact with people they don't really care for.
You would think being at University, and trying to get through their degrees would be the highest priority on the list of our misshapen heroes, but not so, in fact, education probably falls far out of their top tens, as they worry first about relationships, their health, Tekken, how much sex they're not getting, how much masturbating they're doing, and whether or not their livers can survive another night on the town.
As individuals they just couldn't function, as a group they seem just barely able to keep each other going....
....George is a whimsical dreamer, intent on existing solely on computer games and fantasy fiction, Clapton wants, very simply, the total destruction of everyone around him he doesn't like, Alex is happy as long as there's cheap badly dubbed porn on his TV, Jane couldn't care less about anything as long as her favourite chair is waiting for her, and as for Maxwell, there are no words. Except maybe arseholed.
So sit back and enjoy, as we observe a group of grown up children shakily stumble their way through one night stands, ill advised parties, hopeless education, genital obsessed theatre, AA meetings, phantom pregnancies, oh, and even a serious case of Armageddon. It's a place where there's always something pointless to do and someone even more pointless to insult.
During the course of our stay with George, Clapton, Alex, Jane and Max, we will learn the answers to many, many irrelevant questions, and wander into a reality too hungover to exist anywhere else.
Welcome, in short, to the world of Student Muffin.
